Job Overview:
The Early Childhood Administrative Assistant will be focused on supporting early childhood operations for both the Connections and Healthy Families Kent County programs. They will work closely with many members of the organization, including supervisors of different teams. This position may consist of various programmatic, communications, financial, and human resource tasks, such as data management, enrollment support, general office tasks, and direct support for management in the organization. The Early Childhood Administrative Assistant will also help support community engagement efforts, such as greeting program participants, attending and supporting community events and partnerships, and helping with parent facing efforts. This position will also support relationship management software and work with the program databases, as well as various excel spreadsheets. This position will also work on scheduling meetings for various positions in the organization, as well as taking notes for meetings as needed. Having knowledge and experience working with early childhood programs and parents, Microsoft Suite (especially excel and Access Databases), and Bloomerang (CRM database) is strongly recommended. This position will be a hybrid position - there will be in office tasks as well as tasks that can be completed from home at times. This position also may require lifting boxes of paper (roughly 25lbs) and transporting various items in the community with the use of a personal vehicle. In addition, Family Futures requires all staff to comply with a COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Role and Responsibilities:
Support supervisors in the organization with various tasks
Work with the Connections and Healthy Families Kent County programs
Assist in financial and human resource areas, as well as fulfill general office tasks
Assist with running reports and supporting on-going and short-term projects
Work with program interns and oversee projects that are being completed
Quality checking various processes, including mailing support, data entry, data management, and grant reports
Other tasks as assigned
Education and Experience:
The Early Childhood Admin Assistant must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in one of the related fields: communications, business, human services, non-profit administration, child development, social work, or another related field. The ideal candidate should also have a minimum of one-year experience in a related job/field. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and, in a team setting, either in the office or while working remotely.
