We are a dynamic, non-profit Organization seeking an hourly, non-exempt, part-time Accountant to work 20 hours/week. Hours may be flexible (Monday – Friday), after payroll and month end deadlines are met. This position will begin in March, just prior to our move to our new location on 68th street, just east of US 131. This is a 20-hour/week, non-exempt, position starting at $20-$25 per hour, (depending upon experience), with part-time benefits including a generous paid time off plan, short and long-term disability and more. The work in this position involves processing general ledger entries, accounts payable, semi-monthly payroll, invoicing, and credit card payment processing in a fund-based accounting system (QuickBooks). In addition, the part-time Accountant will have quarterly and annual duties including producing 1099’s, providing 401K information to the Third Party Administrator, and participating in audits. The preferred candidate is familiar with Federal grant requirements and has the desire to grow in the position, gradually taking on added responsibilities with added hours, in future years.
