SUMMARY:
This position is responsible to support University Risk Management efforts, with specific focus on our Criminal Background Check and Drug Screen process, administering compliance with the Jeanne Clery and related acts, and serving as a Title IX Coordinator. The position serves as a primary regulatory resource in these areas, providing guidance, support and training to university staff as needed and in coordination with the Executive Director. The overriding goal of the position is to develop inter-departmental relationships to help ensure that Davenport maintains a high level of adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements. These responsibilities are performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University’s mission, vision, and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of coursework and relevant experience.
5 – 7 years of hands-on experience in university and/or corporate compliance program development and execution.
Previous experience in Clery Act compliance, Title IX administration and university Rick Management processes preferred.
Broad based understanding compliance requirements related to Federal and State Law, with higher education law experience preferred.
Ability to use independent judgement and to manage and impart confidential information.
Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions.
